T.D. Jakes, pastor of The Potter’s House megachurch, has refiled a lawsuit targeting a former member for stalking him, court records show.

Jakes first filed documents in Tarrant County last month, alleging that he was being stalked by Karleisha Tarver, an excommunicated member. Then, after a hearing last week, he dropped the suit.

Court records show it was refiled in Dallas County this week.

The petition says Jakes wants to keep Tarver, also known as Karleisha Washington, at least 500 feet from his house and all Potter’s House campuses.

It was unclear Thursday why Jakes refiled the suit. His attorney, Irving-based Faith Johnson, was out of town and unavailable for comment.

Tarrant County sheriff’s spokesman Terry Grisham said Tarver remained in the Tarrant County Jail medical unit with a “hold for Dallas County” on Thursday. But it wasn’t clear whether or when she will be sent to Dallas County, where records show she faces two criminal trespassing charges.
