The Ice Bucket Challenge, raising money and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or “Lou Gehrig’s disease,” has become a social media sensation.
Donations to the ALS Association are literally pouring in and reached an all-time high of $13.3 million dollars as of Sunday, thanks in large part to celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, LeBron James, andKerry Washington lending their name to the cause.
