Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James is sharing his weight loss secrets.
He’s not saying how much he lost, but LeBron told CNN that his weight loss plan worked.
“I haven’t been in this weight class for a while. I’m in the 250-ish range. I’m a lot lighter than I’ve been playing at. I feel good,” said James.
For 67 days LeBron says he ate a very strict diet.
“No carbs, no sugar, no dairy, refined sugar, no nothing. Just meat, fish, veggies and fruit,” said James.
Eliminating sugar and adding more fruits and vegetables can benefit everyone, but trainer Nick Oskowski in Mentor says eliminating carbs completely should only be temporary.
“Carbohydrates are your primary source of fuel, so if you’re an athlete, guess what you need? Carbs. You’re relying on your proteins so satisfy your energy needs when they should be used to repair itself from the damage that’s happening,” said Oskowski.
