A warning is coming out today from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. You should protect your donations.
“They help me out…they help everyone out every month,” said Delores Mohn from Cleveland.
She is out of work and needs the West Side Ecumenical Ministry’s food pantry through the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. It’s an important resource for many.
“There’s a lot of homeless people and a lot of people who don’t have nothing,” explained Mohn.
Many people want to help legitimate organizations and events like our NewsChannel 5 Holiday Food Drive , but Ohio’s Attorney General says watch out for the fake holiday solicitations.
“It’s a prime time for these charitable scams,” said DeWine.
