Well, hello there! Previously we spoke about the importance of serving together, well how about serving each other? As Christians, It is impossible to serve God without serving your fellow man. God has commanded that we love one another just as we love as we love ourselves; and what would we keep ourselves from having? Nothing, if we could help it. When preparing for marriage, you want to already be in the practice of serving by first, serving our Lord Jesus Christ. This will teach you how to love and serve you mate till death parts you. If we love God for who He is and not what He does, then the motivation behind the act of love is selfless and not based on a condition of receiving something for the love in return. So on those days when your husband is getting on your last nerve, you will wake and prepare his breakfast because of who he is and not what he has done. Likewise for my fellas, if your wife isn’t cleaning, you’ll still bring that check home. But imagine, if both of you are serving each other, there is no room to feel unsatisfied, both parties will be focused on each other and not themselves.
