Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty is sponsoring a Black History Month Celebration at the new Cuyahoga County Convention Center. This inaugural event will celebrate the life and tenure of the late Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones and the civil rights movement, which paved the way for the late Congresswoman to serve as the first African American Cuyahoga County Prosecutor.

This free event, which is open, will feature remarks by former Congressman Louis Stokes, Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Charles Patton, Jr., Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish, and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty. Special awards will be made to our distinguished guests and speakers.

 

This exciting and unique event,  will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Cleveland Convention Center, Grand Ballroom C, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and advance registration is required. To register, visitwww.prosecutor.cuyahogacounty.usand click on the event under “In the Community” on the homepage.
