Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James spent an hour working out before the team’s morning shootaround prior to their Game 3 matchup with the Boston Celtics in the first round of the best-of-seven NBA playoff series at T.D. Garden in Boston, and did so to set a tone for his team.

James came out and played with the purpose of setting a tone throughout the game, as he led the way for the Cavaliers with 31 points in a 103-95 win over the Celtics Thursday night. With the win, the Cavaliers now hold a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Celtics.

James tallied a double-double with the 31 points and 11 rebounds. James also assisted on four baskets, stole four passes and blocked two shots in the victory.

Power forward Kevin Love went eight of 16 from the field, including a six-of-10 mark from the three-point line, and pulled down nine rebounds in 37 minutes. Starting shooting guard J.R. Smith (15 points), point guard Kyrie Irving (13) and reserve center Tristan Thompson (12) also reached double figures for the Cavaliers.
