Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving is confident he will play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena Wednesday night despite having a right foot injury and left knee tendonitis.

Irving “went through everything” during Monday’s practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts after aggravating an injury and being limited to only 12 minutes in their series-clinching Game 6 win over the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Semifinals last Thursday.

“I’m feeling great,” Irving said. “The last few days of treatment, rest a combination of a lot of things, I feel pretty good going into Wednesday’s game.

“I pretty much know I’m going to go.”

Cavaliers coach David Blatt said he was “encouraged” by the fact that Irving was able to get on the floor during Monday’s practice.
