Should there be more netting installed down the first and third-base lines to help fans avoid foul ball injuries?

It’s a question that local baseball organizations talk about often.

Recent incidents in Chicago, Boston, and Detroit where fans have been significantly hurt have some people in the major leagues talking more about adding netting.

“When I do attend games, I feel I have to be more alert,” said Barry Gromada, who has loved going to baseball games with his wife and four kids, but he worries about them not watching the game.

So, more netting down the first and third-base lines could help a foul ball situation.

“It can happen in a split second so it’s something I would support,” explained Gromada.

This season the Indians added netting above fans who sit behind home plate.
