Just weeks after a Bronx mother threw her newborn out of her building window, another mother has been arrested for the same crime in the same area.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon when Tenisha Fearon, 27, began tossing household items out of the window. Neighbors watched Fearon bring her baby girl to the window and scream “Hallelujah” before she reportedly dropped her, The New York Daily News reports.

Fearon lived on the sixth floor. The baby was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Gregorio Lopez, Fearon’s neighbor, says he tried to enter her apartment after he saw through a window that the woman was sprawled on the floor in a ritualistic manner flanked by her other children — two girls and a young son. Lopez says they were all naked, lying on their backs. The children are age four to 10-years-old. After breaking down her apartment door, police arrested Fearon and charged her with murder.

Her children were taken to the Administration for Children’s Services after the incident.

Fearon’s godmother, Louella Hatch, says the mother screamed “the devil is in her” during her arrest.

The New York Daily News reports:

“She needs help …I want her to get help,” Hatch told the Daily News. “Something’s got to be wrong. She wouldn’t do that. When I realized it was my building …I knew — that’s my goddaughter. She feels like the devil is in her,” Hatch said, although it wasn’t clear if the mom meant herself or the child. “Yesterday I went (to her home) and that’s what she told me. She’s saying the same thing today. I told her, ‘You need help because you have other kids.’”

The suspect’s sister told reporters Fearon cared for all of her kids. The other children were not harmed in the incident.
