Crime Watch Daily speaks with Tiffany Cochran, daughter of Johnnie Cochran, the O.J. Simpson defense attorney who coined one of the most memorable phrases in courtroom history, “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.”
Now working as a news contributor for CBS46 in Atlanta, Cochran reveals her frustrations with the portrayal of her father in the new smash hit The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story stating,
My dad’s character was overly exaggerated. Some of the things were outrageous [like] his persona was bigger than life…It’s not really who he was an attorney or as a person.
Cochran also shares with CBS46 that the producers of the hit FX show did not reach out to her family explaining,
Some of our family members said, ‘Can we see what’s going on’ and then I think the statement was no.
