Scores of Christian radio networks and stations across the country are preparing churches, small groups and individuals this week for the International Day for the Unreached, May 15, Pentecost Sunday.
The one-day event is intended to inspire and mobilize Christians to reach out to the more than 2.8 billion people around the world who have yet to hear the gospel.
The event is sponsored by the Alliance for the Unreached, a group of globally focused outreach ministries that includes Missio Nexus, Reach Beyond, Bibles For The World, Operation Mobilization and The Seed Company.
As part of the national awareness effort, Wycliffe Bible Translators and Christian radio station Z88 in the Orlando area are hosting a major event with free live music, tours and food trucks on Saturday, May 14, to highlight the need to reach the unreached and will be broadcasting live from the event. Organizers of the International Day for the Unreached will be in attendance.
