The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them.”

This powerful quote from Liberian president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is shown in the beginning of the trailer for Disney’s Queen of Katwe, a new film starring Oscar Award-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o.

The film follows the true story of Ugandan chess player Phiona Mutesi, based on Tim Crothers’ book about her life, titled The Queen of Katwe: A Story of Life, Chess, and One Extraordinary Girl’s Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster.

For 10-year-old Phiona (Madina Nalwanga) and her family, life in the impoverished slum of Katwe in Kampala, Uganda, is a constant struggle. Her mother, Harriet (Lupita Nyong’o) is fiercely determined to take care of her family and works tirelessly selling vegetables in the market to make sure her children are fed and have a roof over their heads.
