The Cleveland Cavaliers may have been off for nine days, but the rest paid off, as they dominated much of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals and took a 1-0 series lead over the Toronto Raptors on the strength of a 115-84 win in front of the home fans at Quicken Loans Arena Tuesday night.

Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving led the way with 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting. In 30 minutes of play, Irving added five assists, two steals, two blocked shots and finished the game with a plus-15 scoring differential.

In addition to Irving, small forward LeBron James poured in 24 points, pulled down six rebounds, assisted on four baskets, stole two passes, and was plus-20 for the game, the best of any Cavaliers starter and second-best of all players in the game.

Power forward Kevin Love sunk four of his eight shots and made all four of his free-throw attempts on his way to a 14-point, four-rebound, three-assist performance in the win, one in which none of the Cavaliers’ “Big Three” played in the fourth quarter.
