Bishop T.D. Jakes, a well-known advocate for women in ministry, is celebrating his eldest daughter’s ministerial elevation.
This weekend, Cora Jakes-Coleman officially received her graduation certificate from The Potter’s House School of Ministry, making her an ordained Elder.
Her proud papa beamed on Instagram in a sweet open letter to the preaching powerhouse, saying how proud both he and his wife First Lady Serita Jakes are.
“You’ve always said from the age of five, that you were called to preach,” wrote the 59-year-old pastor of The Potter’s House of Dallas, the mega church from where Jakes-Coleman earned her license.
Quoting the aspirational words of his female mini-me during her youthful days, Jakes wrote, ‘I’m gonna be a preacher, just like my Daddy!’
