It’s the end of an era.
Cedar Point amusement park announced plans to close its ‘Mean Streak’ roller coaster.
“Mean Streak has, and always will be a significant part of our roller coaster legacy at Cedar Point,” Jason McClure, vice president and general manager for Cedar Point, said in a statement Monday. “But we have our sights set on the future of FrontierTown, and unfortunately, that means Mean Streak has to leave our lineup of world-class attractions.”
Park officials said more than 26 million guests have taken the wooden coaster for a ride since it opened in 1991.
