Trump Transition Team Canceled Ethics Training Session:

President Donald Trump’s transition team, days before he took office, nixed plans for an orientation class that would have prepared political appointees and White House staff for a series of ethical and legal issues, documents provided to CNN show.

The ethics program proposed by the General Services Administration would have helped White House staff and political appointees get through Senate confirmation hearings, work with Congress and corresponding agencies and comply with laws and executive orders — all issues Trump nominees and staff have confronted during their first six weeks in office.

Here Are The Hill Members Calling For Sessions To Resign Or Recuse:

Capitol Hill has been dominated Thursday by a disagreement over what, if any, steps Attorney General Jeff Sessions should take after it surfaced that he spoke with the Russian ambassador to the US during last year’s campaign.

Sessions, a top surrogate at the time for Donald Trump, did not disclose the private meetings in his confirmation hearings in January.

Many Democrats are calling for Sessions to outright resign. Others are merely saying he must recuse himself from ongoing investigations into Russia’s alleged interference into the presidential election.

One California High School Just Made Millions From Snap’s IPO:

Earlier this week, Simon Chiu watched Snapchat’s team put on an IPO presentation for investors in San Francisco. He was surrounded by investment bankers from firms like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

“It was a little bit of fish out of water for me,” Chiu told CNNTech. “I’m an educator. It’s not what I do.”

Chiu is the president of Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. The Catholic school just happens to be one of the first investors in Snapchat

Early Peak Forecast For DC Cherry Blossoms:

Washington’s cherry blossoms are getting ready to put on a show.

The city’s Yoshino cherry trees have reached their second bloom stage, the time when florets are visible. There are four more stages before peak bloom, the National Mall and Memorial Park Service tweeted on March 2.

Peak bloom, which can last from four to 10 days, is reached when 70% of the blossoms are open on the cherry trees surrounding the Tidal Basin

Former President George W. Bush and Michelle Obama are surprisingly close considering their political differences, and the 43rd president credits the former first lady’s appreciation for his sense of humor as a key reason.

The unlikely pair have often been photographed together during formal events. When Obama embraced Bush at the opening ceremony for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture last September, the photo of their warm interaction went viral.
