Sometimes, the responsibilities of life feel like too much to handle. Your job keeps you busy; the
kids keep you running; and your schedule is jam-packed with things you don’t have enough time to
do.
All this can leave you feeling bogged down and burnt out! When it seems as though the weight of
the world is on your back, recite these 5 scriptures:
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)- “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My
strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” When you realize that a situation has
begun to overwhelm you, that is when you draw strength from God. Know that He will hold
you up when the cares of life try to push you down.
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)- “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go
through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” When it feels as though you are
being bombarded by numerous obstacles from every side, remember this scripture. God is
your safe place; He is the One you run to for shelter from the storm, and the umbrella that
protects you as you walk through it.
Psalm 119:114 (ESV)- “You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.” When
the going gets rough, hide away in God’s presence. Make sure to fortify your spirit and your
mind by setting aside time to get lost in His word. Then you will be able to face your earthly
duties with more resolve.
