Sarah Sanders just made a hugely offensive allegation against the media:

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders isn’t a big fan of the media.

Which is, of course, her right. The relationship between any White House and any press corps tasked with covering that White House is almost always fraught and fractious.
But, on Monday, Sanders made an accusation that went way, way beyond the pale of the usual give and take between White House and press corps. Here’s what she said:

“There’s a very big difference between making honest mistakes and purposefully misleading the American people. Something that happens regularly. You can’t say — I’m not done. You can’t say that it’s an honest mistake when you are purposely putting out information that you know to be false or when you’re taking information that hasn’t been validated, that hasn’t been offered any credibility and that has been continually denied by a number of people including people with direct knowledge of an incident. This is something that — I’m speaking about the number of reports that have taken place over the last couple of weeks. I’m simply stating that there should be a certain level of responsibility in that process.”

Jimmy Kimmel brings out his son to talk about health care:

Late night audiences were given two Kimmels on Monday night.

Jimmy Kimmel‘s young son, Billy, made an appearance on his father’s late night broadcast, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after undergoing a second heart surgery last week.

“Hi, I’m Jimmy. This is Billy,” Kimmel said holding his son, who was born in April with a serious heart issue. “He’s fine everybody. He may have pooped, but he’s fine.

As he choked up during the show, the host joked that “Daddy cries on TV, but Billy doesn’t.”

Kimmel thanked the guest hosts who filled in for him last week while he took time off to care for Billy.

These officers stopped the New York pipe bomb suspect:

Four police officers are being hailed as heroes for subduing the suspect in Monday’s explosion at a New York City transit hub before the situation worsened.

The Port Authority Police Benevolent Association identified the officers as Sean Gallagher, Drew M. Preston, John “Jack” F. Collins and Anthony Manfredini.
“Today, four courageous Port Authority police officers risked their lives confronting an armed terrorist to protect others from harm,” PAPBA President Paul Nunziato said in a statement. “I am so thankful there was no loss of life and I could not be prouder of our Port Authority police officers, their actions and dedication to their sworn duty.”
