It’s not often LeBron James hears boo birds from the home crowd.
But on Thursday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers admitted he may have deserved them.
The Cavs snapped a four-game losing streak with a 104-103 victory over the Orlando Magic, but Cleveland’s latest outing wasn’t without drama. After blowing what had been a 23-point lead, the Cavs found themselves trailing with less than 30 seconds remaining before a pair of Isaiah Thomas free throws ultimately gave Cleveland the win.
James, for his part, was far from his typical MVP-caliber self, matching a season-low with 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting while committing 6 turnovers — including a crucial one late in the fourth quarter.
After the game, James took to Twitter to critique his performance, referring to it as “garbage.”
