Netflix held a special screening of the Bishop Carlton Pearson movie ‘Come Sunday’ in L.A. on Tuesday at the Directors Guild of America Theater.
Come Sunday, begins streaming on Netflix, Friday April 13th and stars, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Bishop Pearson, and portrays the true story of Pearson, who was a renowned evangelical minister in Tulsa, OK. In the late 90’s Pearson was the popular pastor of the Higher Dimensions Church, with a reported 6,000 members.
Bishop Pearson believed he heard the voice of God reveal to him that there was no eternal hell where unbelievers would go when they die, and the message didn’t go over well with his followers or the pentecostal church, it was a message that caused him to lose everything.
