It’s a high bar given the wild swings of his two years in power, but Donald Trump seems more untethered to any traditional notion of the presidency than ever.

A profound question when Trump entered the Oval Office was whether his unruly, improvisational nature would be tamed by the magnitude of his new responsibilities and codes of presidential behavior framed over more than two centuries.

Or would Trump, a rambunctious, ego-driven outsider who never follows the rules, change the office itself by establishing precedents that his successors would eventually use to justify their own flexing of presidential power?

Man identified as kissing sailor in WWII Times Square photo dies at 95:

George Mendonsa, who maintained for decades that he was the sailor in an iconic 1945 Times Square photo, dubbed “The Kiss,” that came to symbolize the end of World War II, has died, his family says. He was 95.

The veteran died early Sunday in Newport, Rhode Island, just two days before his 96th birthday, daughter Sharon Molleur told CNN. He will be buried at St. Columba Cemetery in his hometown of Middletown, Rhode Island, she said.
“When I look at that photograph, I just think of my dad’s service, and how happy he was that it was all over,” Molleur said

Marvel TV’s superhero universe on Netflix officially comes to an end. Could Disney+ be its new home?:

Netflix on Monday canceled the only two Marvel Television shows it has left, effectively ending its relationship with the Disney company.

The upcoming third season of “Jessica Jones” will be the show’s last, Netflix said on Monday. The company also announced that “The Punisher” will not return for a third season.
Deadline was the first to report the cancellations.
“We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning,” Netflix said in a statement.
Marvel Television is the TV unit of Disney’s Marvel Entertainment, which produced some of 2018’s biggest blockbusters, including “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Infinity War.

Brothers questioned in connection with Jussie Smollett attack:

The men who were arrested in connection with the attack on Jussie Smollett are Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo, Gloria Schmidt, the attorney for the two brothers, confirmed to CNN on Monday.

The brothers were arrested Wednesday but released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of “new evidence.”
“The brothers are no longer suspects at this time,” Chicago police said Monday.
In a joint statement issued Monday to WBBM – TV, the men said: “We are not racist. We are not homophobic, and we are not anti-Trump. We were born and raised in Chicago and are American citizens.

Screen time for kids under 2 more than doubles, study finds:

Screen time has more than doubled for children under 2 years old since 1997, a study published Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics found, with time spent in front of a TV as the main driver despite a changing screen landscape.

Researchers used parent diary data previously collected by the Child Development Supplement Panel Study of Income Dynamics at the University of Michigan, for which the first available year was 1997 and the latest was 2014.
