STEPH AND AYESHA CURRY ARE LOOKING OUT FOR OUR GIRLS!
The couple, through their foundation has launched a scholarship program for girls interested in STEM.
The Steph and Ayesha Curry Foundation will award a $30,000 scholarship annually to a young lady from the Bay area in California.
he scholarship was inspired by a 9-year-old girl named Riley Morrison. Morrison wrote a letter to Curry asking why his Under Armour sneaker collection wasn’t available for girls. Stephthen collaborated with Morrison to design the Curry 6 United We Win shoe. The NBA star decided that the profits from the shoe would fund a scholarship.
According to Madamenoire, Steph awarded the first scholarship to Vivian Wu. The presentation took place during the Warriors/ Nuggets game on March 8th.
STEM stands for science, technology, education and math.
