Los Angeles police have identified a suspect in the killing of Nipsey Hussle:

The Los Angeles Police Department has identified a suspect in the shooting death of rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Eric Holder, 29, is wanted for homicide, the LAPD announced early on Tuesday.

Holder walked up to Hussle and two other men Sunday as they stood outside a business in a strip mall on West Slauson Boulevard, police said in a statement. He fired multiple times at them and then ran to a nearby alley where a vehicle — “driven by an unidentified female” — was waiting for him, police said. Holder entered from the passenger side and the vehicle fled, authorities said.
Hussle died in the shooting and the two other men were injured and transported to the hospital.

Trump seems inclined to close border despite potential chaos”

President Donald Trump could initiate chaos and grave economic disruption by finally making good on his threat to slam shut the southern border, yet he’s clearly tempted to do it anyway.

Such a dramatic gesture would fulfill many of Trump’s most fundamental short-term political goals and indulge a domineering personality and a desire to please his most vehement supporters that drives so much of his behavior as President.
“Our detention areas are maxed out & we will take no more illegals. Next step is to close the Border!” Trump tweeted on Monday, after telling reporters over the weekend, “I’m not playing games.”

Tom Brady Joins Twitter, Tweets He’s Retiring as April Fools’ Joke:

Tom Brady joined Twitter on Monday to announce his retirement. But it’s April Fools’ Day, so he’s obviously playing a prank with the retirement business.

Props to Brady for joining Twitter and immediately participating in the most essential tradition of the platform: trolling. To fully get into the Twitter spirit, all he has to do next is create a burner account to drag the people he doesn’t like, fire off a few memes that made the rounds on Reddit weeks ago and argue with people about whatever topic we’ve all decided to be collectively enraged over.

A college student whose body was found in a field hours after she got into a vehicle she mistakenly thought was her Uber ride died from multiple sharp force injuries, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said Monday.

Samantha Josephson, 21, a student at the University of South Carolina, called an Uber around 2 a.m. Friday in Columbia, and was last seen getting into a black Chevy Impala, said Columbia Police Chief W.H. “Skip” Holbrook. Turkey hunters found her body 14 hours later in the field in Clarendon County, about 90 miles away.

UNC women’s basketball coaching staff put on leave:

The University of North Carolina women’s basketball coaching staff has been placed on paid administrative leave due to “issues raised by student-athletes and others,” according to the school’s athletics department.

A law firm, Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, will lead a review of the program’s culture and the experience of the student athletes, according to a statement from the UNC Athletics Department. While it’s not known how long the review will take, the department said it would be “thorough and prompt.”
“The University of North Carolina is committed to the well-being of our student-athletes and to ensuring that they have the best experience possible in and outside of competition,” according to its statement.
