Gospel “Talking Tom” is pretty popular on the social networks with his version of “Woke Up This Morning With My Mind on Jesus” and his call for listeners to “lift those dirty hands and give Him some praise”. The video has gotten over 600,000 views.
Chad Brawley, a Houston-based musician and songwriter has gained upwards of 599,000 new friends in just a few short weeks thanks to his talent, wit and the Talking Tom app created by Outfit7 available on MAC compatible technology including the iPad and iPhone.
Brawley had no idea that capturing his musical gift and humor on the iPad would quickly travel around the world bringing joy to over half a million people. A spoof of the song “Woke Up This Morning With My Mind on Jesus” (a traditional African American devotional hymn) which Brawley titled Morning Glory, he shares, “One morning, I decided to mess around with this app and that was the 1st song that came to mind – having grown up in church, it’s one of my favorites.”
