Police said Rogers was attempting to board a plane with the weapon, according to the report.

Rogers, a second-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions in 2001, was traded to the Browns in 2008. He has 465 tackles and 35.5 sacks in his nine-year NFL career.

Reportedly disenchanted with coach Eric Mangini and the Browns’ front office, Rogers demanded a trade before the 2009 season. His request wasn’t granted, and he ended up on injured reserve after breaking his leg during a Week 12 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
