Emergency crews are on the scene after a pedestrian was struck by a train in Shaker Heights.
The person was hit by the train in between Van Aken and Shaker Square, according to a spokeswoman for the RTA.
The victim was taken to Huron Hospital, and the individual’s condition is unknown at this time.
As a result of the incident, service on the Blue Line Rapid has been interrupted in the area. Customers who normally take the Blue Line will be served replacement buses, which are running from Shaker Square to downtown, according to RTA spokeswoman Mary McMahon.
