Three weeks after a court demanded that the state of Michigan send bottled water to residents who are still impacted by contaminated water, state officials are still trying to fight that order.

Millions of dollars are heading to Flint, now that Congress has finally agreed to funnel funds into the city.

Flint Mayor Dr. Karen Weaver joined Roland Martin on NewsOne Now to discuss the latest details in the ongoing Flint water crisis and what is currently being done to rectify the man-made disaster that has poisoned an American city.

In response to Earley's remarks, resident LeeAnne Walters told Martin, "A lot of it was lies and him just trying to cover himself."

"Governor Rick Snyder cannot actually fix this problem," said Martin. He later added, "What this governor is doing is running from the problem."

Earley, joined by his lawyer, Attorney A. Scott Bolden, explained that the decision to switch Flint's water supply to the Flint River and use services from the KWA Water Authority was made by the Flint City Council.
