There were more than 22 accidents along a 20-mile stretch of Interstate 90 on Wednesday, the Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said lake effect snow left roads slick, forcing them to close lanes of I-90 in both directions at state Route 44 in Concord Township.

Despite the amount of crashes, there were no serious injuries, according to the highway patrol.

Painesville resident Olga Skinner was in the middle of Lake County traffic mess. She said a semi-truck was swerving and losing its load, then suddenly stopped. But Skinner couldn’t stop and slip into the truck.

“My leg’s on the brake, but the car just kept moving. I know I’m going to hit him. I said ‘Oh God, don’t make it too bad,” Skinner told NewsChannel5.

Her windshield was shattered, and she suffered some scratches and bruises. She said she was thankful her children were not in the car with her.
