Just look who survived the whole “inappropriate dress for a preacher’s wife debacle” and has managed to change the topic. Meagan Good and her husband, DeVon Franklin, are writing a book about not having sex throughout the yearlong courtship that led to their 2012 nuptials.
Yep! Titled The Wait, the book tells you all about how Good knew Franklin was “the one” because he agreed to wait until marriage to be intimate with her.
“It’s that waiting period where we really get the most anxiety and the most frustration,” Franklin told Sister 2 Sister. “It’s all about how you handle the waiting period in life, from the relationship wait, to the marriage wait, to the career wait.”
How did the couple go so long without sex? “We held each other accountable because we honored the commitment,” Franklin told ESSENCE.com. “And we both were already committed to it.”
The Wait is slated for a 2014 release.
