The extreme cold has local paramedics concerned.
Cleveland EMS is reporting an increase in cold-exposure calls during these record-breaking frigid temperatures.
“We’re seeing at least 4 calls a day with people that are exposed. Everybody thinks it’s the homeless person that may be walking outside in the cold, but it could happen to any of us,” said Nicole Carlton, acting EMS commissioner.
Carlton said the cold is dangerously deceptive.
