East Tech High School senior Keith Griffin was one of the best high school point guards in the state, with the attention of several college recruiters.

In March he got shot. Again.

No stranger to violence. This time, the bullets paralyzed him from the waist down.

“They said I died in the car. I’m just glad they have great doctors at MetroHealth Medical Center. They saved my life,” said Griffin.

On Thursday, MetroLife Flight crews went above and beyond donating their time and equipment, so Griffin could trade in his hospital gown for a cap and gown.

“Best day of my life,” Griffin smiles from his hospital bed.
