Our forever First Lady Michelle Obama is taking girl power international!

On International Day of the Girl, our forever FLOTUS announced on the Today Show,  Global Girls Alliance, a new Obama Foundation initiative that aims to empower girls around the world through education.

During a sit down interview with hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, Michelle shared information about her new initiative.

“The stats show that when you educate a girl, you educate a family, a community, a country,” said the Becoming author. “If we care about climate change, if we care about poverty, then we have to care about education,” Michelle shared.

Flotus was joined by Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, and Jennifer Hudson. The ladies performed songs of empowerment for women around the world.
