The inspirational Harriet movie from Focus Features, starring Cynthia Erivo had a huge opening weekend!
According to box office reports, the three day estimate is $12 million, which ranks fourth at the box office. in exit polls, African-American women ranked it 90% top two boxes with a 90% definite recommend.
Harriet producer Debra Martin Chase said, “This is not a slave movie. This is a movie that says we cannot control the circumstances into which we are born, but we can control what we do once we get here.”
