An 11-year-old California girl aspires to discourage bullying by sharing songs of encouragement on Youtube.
The young and passionate writer/singer, India Rockett, plans to continue inspire others when she grows up. Inspired by her younger brother who once was a victim of a bully– Rockett writes songs that are “filled with insight beyond her years
The 11-year-old started writing only a couple of years ago and already has an extensive catalogue of work.
“Sometimes writing can take out your anger and it can show your happiness,” India says. “I feel like I have accomplished something officially and finally, and I’m happy to have the hands to actually write down my feelings, because I have a lot of feelings that I hold in sometimes.”
“You can tease me, so whatever. You can talk about me, whenever. But there’s nothing you can do but make yourself look a fool, however,” she sings. “You can’t change me. You can’t rearrange me. You can’t stop me being who I am.”
By having the song online, India hopes to let the victims of bullying know that she cares for them.
